After returning from Nashville I had a day to recuperate before we headed up to Lake Winnie http://www.lakewinnie.com/ on Saturday, July 3rd. For the past 4 years we have been making the trip to Lake Winnie with several other families. The first year we went it just happen to be around the 4th and we caught the firework display that they put on. Fabulous! It really is one of the best firework shows I've seen. Second probably only to the Magic Kingdom. So now we always try to go when we know they will be doing the fireworks. A great time was had by all. There were 4 families which consisted of 8 adults and 7 kids! We stopped for lunch on the way and then snacked while there. Once the fireworks were over we fit in a couple of more rides before leaving around 11:00 headed back to Birmingham. Oh and did I mention that Lake Winnie is just outside of Chattanooga? And we had to drop the Adams' off at home in Hayden before coming back to Fultondale. Needless to say......we were pooped when we finally fell into bed at 2:00 am!
