Emily's Cast

Yep, here we are at the beginning of summer with a cast on the right hand.  Thank God she is left handed but the way the cast is on she doesn't have much use of right hand because three of her fingers are cast all the way to the fingertips.  We were over a friends house yesterday swimming.  We were getting ready to leave and Em was going to catch Sloan as she rolled down this slide in a cart.  Well the cart hit the end of her finger and I figured it was probably just jammed.  After a couple of hours of ice it was bruised and swollen and I knew that it was more serious.  So today we take off to the pediatrician's office and an x-ray confirmed my suspicions.......broken ring finger.  A buckle fracture at the knuckle that meets the hand so off to Children's we go to the hand clinic. A couple of hours later this is what we have for the next 4 weeks!
