Lazy Sunday Afternoon

Sunday was a wonderful day despite the weather.  The forecast called for rain so I decided on Saturday that I would cook dinner instead of our usual going out to eat.  After Sunday School and church we headed home.  Everyone helped cook so it wasn't too much work for me.  Todd is really good to help out around the house.  Emily is still at an age where helping is fun.....I wonder how long that will last?  After lunch I am cleaning the kitchen and notice that it is unusually quiet except for Todd's occasional snore!  Below is what I find when I go into the living room to check it out.

Once the kitchen was back in order I decided that I too needed a nap.  Only I was going to do it right......I went upstairs and crawled into bed!  Within an hour everyone was up stirring around so my nap didn't last near as long as I would have liked for it to.  However, these days a short nap is better than no nap at all!  We wrapped up the afternoon by watching The Princess and the Frog before getting ready for the upcoming school/work week.
