So in the wake of a spend the night party on Friday and a non-stop Saturday I was exhausted when the alarm clock went off yesterday morning. Since it was Easter I had more to do than the usual Sunday morning. I slowly crawled out of bed wishing I could simply just pull the covers over my head and sleep for about 3 more hours. Within just moments of stirring around my mind was filled with thoughts of Christ, Easter and all that it truly means. I spent the morning reflecting on the fact that Christ had died on the cross for me and on this day was resurrected! I was humbled at the thought of what an incredible sacrifice was given and what a truly awesome God I serve. As Emily and I made our way to church (Todd left a little earlier than us to help greet visitors) I discovered that the tiredness I felt just a few hours earlier was gone. We had a wonderful church service. The music and the sermon were both great. I was happy being there worshipping the Lord with my family. I hope that you all were blessed with the same experience.
After church we headed over to Faye and Mike's for lunch. Aunt Toni and Uncle Dillion were in Langston at Dillion's moms. Aunt Tara and Uncle Mark were at home enjoying their precious baby girl. Toni and Dillion stopped by as we were finishing up lunch. That was a nice surprise since we didn't expect to see them yesterday. After lunch we headed up to the Hardee's to visit. Have I said lately how absolutely adorable my niece is? The cutest little Jellybean ever! When we left there we headed over the the Mayfield's so Emily and Karlee could play for a little while. It was really nice to spend time with some of the people we love most!
Hugs,
Keely
