First Day of 2nd Grade

I know that some of our friends to the south have already started school.  And our friends to the north still have a  couple of weeks of summer vacation to enjoy. But for many schools systems in Alabama (including ours) today is the first day of school!  For us that means the first day of second grade.  Say a little prayer because my girl had a complete meltdown last night.  Lots of anxiety about what 2nd grade would be like.  What would she learn, what would they do on the first day of school, she was at a table with 3 boys, how hard are her test going to be? We deal with test anxiety as well......little overachiever.  Not sure where that comes from because her daddy nor I are overachievers.  I tried to calm her fears and like usual she was a real trooper.  However, I could tell that she was still very uncertain about her first day as a second grader.
