The Beach and the Blues

Blue Angels that is.  If you have never seen them perform at one of their airshows you are seriously missing out.  The Blue Angels usually perform at the Naval Base in Pensacola each fall and out at the beach the weekend after the 4th of July.  I have seen them at the Naval Base but it just doesn't compare to the show they put on at the beach!

Todd and Emily have never seen them before so we decided to pack it up and head to Granna's this past weekend.  We arrived a little later than we expected due to traffic and a mishap at McDonald's in Alabaster.  We were delighted to find dinner ready and everyone waiting on us when we finally got there.  Saturday morning we headed to the beach bright and early.  Spent the entire day on the beach playing and enjoying the airshow. Later that afternoon everyone headed home to get cleaned up and then we all went out to dinner.  There is this place just up the road from my moms called the Cutting Board......great seafood and very reasonably priced.  Everyone was exhausted so after dinner we all headed home and hit the sack.  Sunday morning Grandaddy cooked breakfast for all of us (except Uncle James who at 21 chooses sleep over most things) and then we were on our way home.  It was a wonderful weekend and we enjoyed spending time with everyone.  It's hard to believe that most likely the next time we are all together there will be one more of us!

Here's Emily playing office with Grandaddy!

Uncle Chris, Aunt Jess, Todd, Me, Emily, Grandaddy
and Granna (still in her pj's!). We lovingly refer to these
kind of pictures as "group shots"!

Hugs,
Keely
