In about 24 hours (hopefully) we will be leaving on vacation. I can't wait except that we still have to do everything to get ready. This includes but I am sure not limited to the following; packing, washing 1-2 loads of clothes, cleaning the car, making a Target run for a few things still needed, getting one very excited little girl's toenails done and I would love to think that I actually get the house cleaned. Don't you hate coming home from vacation to a dirty house? I do but I am sure that I am being more than optimistic to think that I will actually get that done as well. I also need to do some preparation for the drive. Yes, we are driving and since we have never made a road trip this long with Emily I want to be prepared with drinks, snacks and entertainment.
I usually am not a last minute gal. Well, Todd says I am and on some things I am. But I am a planner so when it comes to parties, trips, etc I am usually pretty on top of it. But this has been one CRAZY week! The fuel pump went out on my car so it's been in the shop. Todd had to go back to the doctor yesterday have a skin cancer surgically removed. We had church last night and two church meetings this week (both which lasted until late). I was only included in the one last night but poor Todd was at both meetings. And I've had cell phone issues....namely, I got a new one and can't work the dang thing! So needless to say, getting ready for vacation has not been at the top of the priority list. Although I have managed to get all (most) of the clothes washed and a pedicure/manicure.
Wish me luck on all that needs to be accomplished by 10:00 am tomorrow morning. We are taking the computer so I hope to blog while I'm gone and keep everyone updated on all the fun we are having. I'm not sure that I will have pictures posted until after the trip but I do hope to provide some interesting reading at the very least!
