So today was the first day of the 1st grade for Emily. Hard to believe since it's only the middle of August and still 100 degrees outside. It just doesn't seem right. Really what happened to the days of starting back to school the Tuesday after Labor Day and getting out around Memorial Day? At least our buddies in the North have a few more weeks of summer before heading back to school.......enjoy, my friends!
Emily has Mrs. Fowler this year and there are a couple of kids in her class that she knows from last year. She was very excited about starting 1st grade and I am so proud of her......acted like such a big girl! The report this afternoon was that she had a great day! Looks like 1st grade is off to a good start.
The one plus to school starting back......my part-time work schedule. Or I call it part-time. I still work 36 hrs/week and end up doing a lot of stuff from home. But it allows me to drop Em off each morning and pick her up 3 days a week. My sweet daddy and mother-in-law pick her up the other two days a week so my sweet baby girl doesn't have to go to after school care! How lucky are we to have PawPaw and Nana? I'll post first day of school pictures soon (if you've not noticed I have had issues lately with posting pictures).
