I was in church this morning and the preacher commented on how little credit daddy's receive and how momma's get all the glory. I'm a momma so we won't start comparing momma's to daddy's but mostly because it like comparing apples to oranges. The two just aren't the same but equally important. I also read an article this week about research done that shows children are more effected by abandonment of a father than a mother. And I can't help but recall the many times I have sat in church, assembly or conference where a group of individuals from prison, teen challenge, the foundry or some other rehabilitation program have given their testimonies. The common denominator..........most of them come from broken homes without a father figure or strong male influence. I praise God that my children have a devoted father who with God's grace serves as an excellent example of what a man of God, husband and father should be. So to all of the father's in my life.......my sweet husband who I could not ask to be a better a father to our babies, my father (you all know him as PawPaw) who I hope knows regardless of age or circumstances that I will always be a "daddy's girl", my step dad (or Grandaddy as he is referred to on the blog) who I don't even like to refer to as "step dad" because he has been a part of my life for 32 years and has loved and treated me as his own the entire time and finally but not lastly, to my father-in-law, Gramps, who with my mother-in-law welcomed me into their home and their family long before I was actually a Stewart.......from the bottom of my heart, I love you.
Hugs,
Keely
