Birthdays, Birthdays And.......More Birthdays!

Spring is the season of the birthdays in this family.  It's so funny that both our baby and Aunt Toni's baby are due in September because we use to joke that it is a prerequisite that any babies born into this family had to have a March or April birthday.  So glad that isn't happening!  I am super psyched about planning fall birthday parties for this little butterbean!  But back to now.....we have been celebrating birthdays for three weekends and it has been lots of fun!  Sloan's 1st birthday was March 31st but we celebrated on Saturday the 26th with a cookout at Tara and Mark's.  It was so much fun to watch Sloan open her presents and eat her cake.  Oh and Tara made these seriously delicious cupcakes......homemade from scratch! They were as good as anything that I have had from Dream Cakes.  And they were pretty too! I'm soooo envious.  A Halloween costume I can make, a canvas for the wall or even paint a cool Easter basket.....but a baker I am not.  Poor Em will never have a homemade cake that her momma made.  Not one that taste good anyway!  Nana's birthday was March 25th and Gramps Birthday was March 27th so we celebrated both with lunch after church on Sunday the 27th.  The Donaldson's, Hardee's, us along with Nana and Gramps went to Stix and sat the hibachi table.  The food was tasty.....one of the best things I think I've eaten since I've been pregnant!  Emily's birthday was April 5th but we celebrated with family on Sunday the 3rd.  The weather was gorgeous so we cooked out and had everyone over to our house after church.  It makes me so sad to think of my baby being a 7 year old big girl.  And that's all I can say about that.  My birthday was Sunday the 10th so Todd took me out on a date Friday night while Emily hung out with Nana and Gramps.  Then on Sunday we ate lunch with the Stewart clan.  It was a nice quiet laid back birthday.....just the way you want them when your 37 and pregnant!  We have 2 birthdays left this month and then we will have a break.  I have lots of pictures and I promise to post them soon!
